FAQ

Why did we create Ringless, and who is it for?

We created Ringless because we're long-suffering fans, just like you. Sometimes we enjoy wallowing in our own misery, and other times we prefer wallowing in our friends' misery. Whether you wear our apparel to express frustration with your team or to taunt the opposition (at your own risk), Ringless was designed to be playful and fun.

What is the definition of Ringless?

Ringless /ˈrɪŋ‑ləs/ noun:
The year immediately following a team’s most recent championship — a period of time defined by the absence of a new ring.

How did we come up with the year on the apparel?

General Rule: The year displayed on apparel represents the year after the team’s most recent championship ring. It does not show the year they won, as that is the championship year itself. Instead, the apparel reflects the first year after their last championship, indicating the period since they last won.

Football Exception:

For football apparel, the year displayed represents the season during which the championship was won, not the calendar year the championship game was actually played. This distinction aligns apparel with the recognized championship season rather than the specific game date. While this approach can be debated, this is the current policy.

Teams Without Championships:

For teams that have never won a championship in one of the four official leagues, the apparel year displayed reflects the year they joined their respective league as recognized today, not earlier championships won in predecessor or alternative leagues.

Why is there no team logo on the Apparel?

A) Licensing fees are very expensive.

B) Given the nature and context of our apparel, we believe the leagues would prefer not to associate themselves with it, so we have not pursued licensing agreements.

Do you have an issue with the color scheme for your chosen team?
